Yes, I suppose you would call us Second Semester Freshmen. Really? Honestly? It seems like just yesterday that we were freaking out about where are rooms and lockers were, analyzing our teachers, finding fantastic new people to be friends with, meeting amazingly hot seniors to gawk at, and stressing out crazily over finals. HAHAHA! Wait! That last one really was yesterday! You guys, I seriously did not even realize that when I wrote it. Insane! Whoo, now I'm happy.
So, here's a weekend for you:
My Saturday began at 8:00 am to get ready for my big, important gymnastics meet at Memorial which started at 9:15. Would you like to guess what time it was done at? I'm sure you guessed wrong. Because it was over at 6:00. PM. Yes, that is almost 9 hours in the Memorial gymnastics gym, thank you for asking. So for this invite [the Spartan Invite] there were 11 teams from various towns in Wisconsin. There are 2 divisions; one that's really amazingly great at gymnastics and the other one which is basically the opposite. West happens to be exactly in the middle. Of course, they put us in the really amazingly great at gymnastics divison which meant we won absolutely nothing. But hey! We totally crushed the first place team in the bad division! I know, big accomplishment. Still, it was a pretty good meet for us. YAY WEST!
Afterwards, I was at the Orpheum with Maddie/May and her family to see this Children's Hospital Sing-a-Thon thing. There were these two strong black women who had amazing voices, which is what I was hoping for! So that made me very satisfied.
The next day after coming home from Maddie/May's, I found a text from Margaret inviting me to her house around 3:00 to study for our French final. Guess who I was greeted by? Her father. And Margaret wasn't there. So I walked home. In the horrible cold. For 10 miles. Okay, so Margaret lives 0.5 miles away from me, if that, and my father was waiting outside just in case this exact thing happened. Well, I wanted to make it seem dramatic!
ALSO! During my Geometry final, my iPod battery died and left me empty inside with nothing left to keep myself occupied except a pen and notebook. Obviously, you can guess what I did. That's right. I wrote a blog entry. [Haha, I tricked you! :D] I'll post that sometime or another.
ALI'S HAPPY THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
Laura, Riley, and I are having a Guitar Hero day this weekend and I'm really happy because Springman has the World Tour version WITH drums! Which I sort of kind of really freaking rock at. AND I'm amazing at guitar! I can just tell it's going to be a wonderful weekend.
ALI'S RANDOM FACT OF THE DAY:
Alessandra's bedroom is painted blue and green. One wall is covered in New Yorker covers and the opposite wall is taken up by random art and pictures. The average temperature in there is 58 degrees, a noticeable difference from the rest of the house, and I've seen the Dark Knight 7 times now. Just thought I should mention that.
