Back From D.C.!

D.C.=SUCCESS! No one died [though we did have a close shave with Ethan], no one got lost, no one fell into a parallel universe. But we did have a BATHROOM STINKER-UPPER! Just as I suspected. It was Saturday. The last day of the trip. We had just stopped to get some breakfast in Indiana. Now I believe there were bathrooms in the McDonalds where we stopped. But a certain someone decided that they didn't want to use the perfectly fine bathrooms there. No. They used the bus bathroom. And it was not a good smell. And the award for Bathroom Stinker-Upper 2008 goes to...ROSS PERKEL! That's right. Good ol' Ross.

But all in all, it was a pretty fantastic trip. I really don't want to post any pictures here because I took 159 of them. And they're all pretty freakin incredible so I couldn't possible narrow them down. But if you're desperately aching for some D.C. pictures taken by world-renowned photographer Alessandra Seiter then go on my Facebook.

So we went basically EVERYWHERE in D.C. on our trip.
1.) Every single memorial. [WARNING: They're all the same. And all very boring.]
2.) Lots and lots of monuments. [Pun: I guess it was a pretty MONUMENTAL trip! HAHAHA!]
3.) Yucky medical museum with fetuses in jars and the world's largest hairball. Which was from a 12-year-old girl. Ew.
4.) Navy Battleship [Destroyer] tour.
5.) Congress! [We saw the North Dakotan senator talk about oil. To Dick Cheney. It was brilliant.]
6.) Arlington National Cemetary with JFK's grave site.
7.) Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. [Ok, not really in D.C. obviously but we still went there.]
8.) Williamsburg, Virginia. [Same deal as Gettysburg. They have ghosts there though.]
9.) The National Zoo! With the pandas! [Although we only stayed there for 45 minutes and 30 of those were wasted standing in line to get food.]
10.) The Holocaust Museum.
11.) The Hirshhorn Museum! [It's an art gallery and my one of my favorite places in the world now.]
12.) The Air and Space Museum. [There's lots of air there. Also lots of space.]

This was all over the course of 5 days. It was like a 3-week tour of History jam-packed into a week. It drove us all insane. But in the best possible way. :D

On a totally different note: CAMP STARTS TOMORROW! Camp is the best place ever. It's a 6-week day camp called Camp Shalom. [JEWS!] And don't make fun of me for going to a day camp because it is so infinitely fun that it doesn't even matter that it's not overnight. The only bad thing about camp is that it takes up every single second of my day. From 8am-4:45pm. Then on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays I have gymnastics immediately after that until 7pm. [Except on Thursdays when it goes until 8:30.] And on Wednesdays, piano is at 8pm. Tuesday's free though! So good luck finding a time to hang out with me. :]

I'll keep you posted! [Ha! Another pun.] :D
